Frequently Asked Questions
- Where can I find assembly instructions?
- Where is Atlantic MetalWorks Made?
All Atlantic MetalWorks products are made in China.
- Does Stainless Steel Rust? How can I prevent it?
While stainless steel does have improved corrosion resistance, it still will rust when exposed to acidic or corrosive elements such as bleach. The best prevention is to clean your steel after any introduction of highly corrosive elements or solvents. A simple wash with hot water will remove most of your corrosives and prevent accelerated corrosion.
- What kind of Finish does Atlantic MetalWorks have?
All our products are made with price and quality in mind, not so much for their looks. While there is a durable, smooth finish, it is not highly buffed and polished. You can expect surface scratches, exposed welds, and various marks from the manufacturing process.
- Can the brackets be mounted above a shelf?
No, the brackets must be below the shelf to support its weight. Only the microwave shelves have brackets above the shelf.
- Can casters be added to the tables / sinks?
Yes, the plastic bullet feet can be removed and replaced with our Expanding Stem Casters. 4-CAS-4L gives you a set of four and 4-CAS-4L-2 a set of six.
- How much weight can a stainless steel table hold?
Generally speaking, the smaller tables can hold around 500 lbs and larger ones around 650 lbs. Undershelves can hold up to 300 lbs, some can hold more. Please contact us or reference your distributor’s information packet for specific models.
- How much weight can a wall shelf hold?
The shelf weight limit is dependent upon the strength of its attachment of the wall. We’ve seen that often, the anchors will fail before the shelf itself bends. Therefore, a universal weight rating is quite impossible. If the shelf is anchored into wall studs, masonry material, or some other sturdy material with the proper fasteners, it should bear up under substantial weight.
- What is the best way to clean my stainless steel?
There are a ton of resources out there about cleaning stainless with lots of information (such as the Stainless Steel Industry of North America - http://www.ssina.com/download_a_file/cleaning.pdf). We’ll defer to them for details and simply say that using water and a mild detergent is best for the majority of your cleaning. Avoid using bleach, abrasives, and acidic chemicals as they can expedite corrosion, which is not covered by the warranty. After cleaning, make sure you dry your equipment completely.
- How far up the steel legs can I adjust the undershelf?
You can install the undershelf at any height on the legs. We recommend 6-12 inches from the bottom of the legs for maximum stability.
- Can I hear more about the warranty?
All our equipment is guaranteed against defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Problems caused by misuse, improper maintenance, or modifications are not covered.
- What does Left and Right Dish Tables Refer to?
Left and Right describe what side of the counter the two legs are on and which side of the dish machine goes on. If your dishwasher runs left to right, you would want a left side soiled table and right side clean table.
